Varsity boys soccer lost against Kings Academy on Wednesday, January 5th, bringing their overall league record to 0-1.

On Tuesday, December 21, Beach volleyball Olympic Gold Medallist Kerri Walsh visited Harker to put on two clinics for elementary and middle school volleyball players.

The Varsity Boys and Varsity Girls Cross Country teams both qualified for the Central Coast Section Finals at the WBAL League Finals on Friday at 2.9 mile Crystal Springs course in Hillsborough.

The Varsity and JV football teams both lost games to Salesian High School on October 16, giving them overall records of 6-1 and 1-5, respectively.

A sea of perseverant runners floods natural venues. With beautiful scenery draping the background, they disregard their screaming legs and pounding hearts, bearing one goal in mind—to accomplish a marathon, 26.2 miles.

As the cross country season comes to a close, there has been large number of injuries this year: more than one-fourth of the 50 runners are out with leg wounds.

A poll of the team shows that out of the fourteen injured runners polled, nine athletes have shin splints. Sprained ankles are also a common injury among runners, afflicting three runners currently, and two other runners are also with other, less common injuries.

The boys’ Varsity water polo team has a record of 9-8, and the girls’ water polo team has a record of 5-10.

On Friday, October 1, Varsity football made team history when they defeated the California School of the Deaf (CSD) 23-0 at Davis Field, remaining undefeated
at 5-0.

Last weekend, Varsity tennis traveled to Monterey for the 54th Santa Catalina Invitational Tournament, winning second place overall.

This Saturday, September 18, the Cross Country team traveled to the Toro County Park near Salinas to compete in their first meet of the season, the Chieftain Classic Invitational.
